A message from the CEO

PLife REIT shares strong ties with the people of Japan, who have always showed great cooperation and friendship towards us. To show that 'We Care' in such times of difficulty, we decided to embark on this CSR initiative - a simple yet heartfelt one - to reach out directly to our Japan partners and nursing homes residents, and show our solidarity with them. Although language was at times a challenge, it was truly rewarding to see the bonding, cultural exchange, and the smiles that lit up the faces of the residents receiving well wishes from their friends from Singapore.

Besides affirming our commitment to being a good corporate citizen, this CSR initiative is also reflective of our aim to engage the local communities in the markets we operate in, particularly the youth. Using PLife REIT as a bridge, we hope to provide them with an opportunity to participate in community service, instill a spirit of kindness, and heighten their awareness of the issue of ageing populations in Japan and Singapore. This is one of the ways PLife REIT endeavours to contribute to the long-term development and betterment of the elderly care services sector in the region.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside and reinforce our ties with our Japan partners, who have extended their ongoing support and exceptional capability in continuing to provide high quality services and a warm shelter for our nursing home residents, in the face of challenging circumstances.

As an organisation, participation in this meaningful initiative gave us an opportunity to foster bonding between colleagues. Our staff also got to gain first-hand experience interacting with the residents, and understanding our Japan operations better.

I would like to express my gratitude to the organisers and student volunteers of Nan Hua High School and Central Christian Church, Sawayaka Club, as well as my staff who have given me their full support to make this CSR initiative a success. This is a richly rewarding experience that we all share, and a spirit that we hope to continue to bring into the future.

Last but not least, we extend our very best wishes to all our friends in Japan.
